Keppel DC REIT buys second data centre in Germany for $125.3m

This marks the company’s eighth data centre in Europe.

Keppel DC REIT has entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Maena KG for the acquisition of 100% freehold interest in a shell and core purpose-built data centre facility in Kelsterbach, Germany for $125.3m, according to an announcement. This will be Keppel's second data centre in Germany and its eighth in Europe.

Situated near the Frankfurt Airport, the data centre has a total lettable area of approximately 540,869 sqft, and fully leased on a triple-net basis until the end of 2025.

The Kelsterbach facility joins Keppel’s line up of data centre acquisitions this year, including Keppel DC Singapore 4 and also Singapore-based Net North data centre. The company’s assets are expected to increase to $2.7b totalling 18 data centres.
