Dell appoints Ho Chye Soon as general manager in Singapore

Chye Soon will be responsible for overall business operations, sales and business development for Dell’s commercial business in Singapore.

Dell announced the promotion of sales veteran Ho Chye Soon to the role of General Manager, Commercial Business for Dell’s Consumer, Small and Medium Business in Singapore. In this role, Chye Soon will be responsible for overall business operations, sales and business development for Dell’s commercial business in Singapore.

“Singapore is a key regional hub for both Dell and our customers and we are extremely pleased to have Chye Soon spearhead our business here,” said Varinderjit Singh, Managing Director for Singapore and Malaysia, Dell CSMB. “The local market for enterprise solutions and services continues to grow tremendously and we believe that Chye Soon’s in-depth industry knowledge and experience will be instrumental in growing our commercial business here and in the region.”

“The Singapore market is very dynamic and vibrant, presenting a multitude of opportunities for innovation and growth. I am very excited to assume this role and one of my immediate goals is to develop and implement strategic processes including transforming the sales methodology of our teams to a more solution-based approach,” said Chye Soon. “I’m also looking to create industry domain-focused vertical teams to better serve customers as the lines become more defined.”

Identifying and acknowledging the importance of employees, one of Chye Soon’s key priorities is to increase the team’s skill sets with more training and development as the industries’ competitiveness continues on the upward trend.

A seasoned professional, Chye Soon brings 12 years of sales management experience in the IT&T industry. He was most recently the Sales Director for Dell’s Commercial Business in Singapore where he increased Dell’s customer base and grew the company’s footprint through new channel partnerships. Chye Soon joined Dell in 2006 and held several senior management roles across several countries which enabled him to develop and implement strategic activities across the region.

Chye Soon will be based in the company’s regional headquarters in Singapore, and will report to Varinderjit Singh.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from the University of Oregon.
