Webvisions appoints Poh Mui Hoon as Group CEO
Her new role will take effect from January 1.
As part of her new role, Ms Poh will drive Webvisions business strategy across Asia by leveraging upon and pooling the strengths of the group’s network of offices in Asia Pacific.
Chairman of the Board, Mr Guy Nelson said, "We are delighted that Ms Poh has joined the Group to continue our growth and expansion throughout Asia. Ms Poh comes with much experience in building and growing companies – we are confident that she will be able to add much value to the Group.”
Ms Poh said, “I am looking forward to working with the team to take Webvisions forward to become a significant player in the Cloud computing and Managed Services space. It is a sector poised for huge growth and we are confident that Webvisions will become a key player in this market.”
Ms Poh was the former CEO of the NETS group of companies and sits on the board of several organizations including Asian Cultural Enterprise, the Finance Committee of SATA, CommHealth and the Institute of Systems Science (ISS, NUS) Alumni Advisory Council. She was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award by the ISS in November 2011.
In tandem with Ms Poh’s appointment, Webvisions has also appointed two new non-executive directors to the Board, Mr Lim Chin Hu and Mr Phey Teck Moh. Both appointees are well-recognized leaders in the Singapore Information and Communications Technology industry. Mr Lim is Managing Partner of Stream Global and was previously CEO of Frontline Technologies. He also serves on a number of boards in the region. Mr Phey is the Corporate Vice President of Motorola Solutions for Asia Pacific.
