Istana grounds open to the public on 30 August 2011

This is to celebrate Hari Raya Puasa.

According to the President’s Office, the Istana grounds will be open to the public from 8.30am to 6.00pm on 30 August 2011. Admission is free for Singaporeans and Singapore permanent residents while others visitors are required to pay an entrance fee of $1 per person.

Meanwhile, for an entrance fee of $2, members of the public can tour selected function rooms in the Istana building to view a display of gifts presented to the President and the Prime Minister by foreign dignitaries.

The President’s Office said the bands from Zhonghua Secondary School and Poi Ching School will be performing at the Open House. There will also be a Malay dance performance put up by the People’s Association, as well as an exhibit of Falabella miniature horses by the Singapore Zoo.
