SG consumers’ app spending rises to US$151.27m in 3Q23

App spending rose by US$3.73m within a year.

Singaporean consumer spending across iOS and Google Play rose to US$151.27m in 3Q23, an increase from 3Q22.

In 3Q22, app spending in Singapore was only US$147.54m.

Of the total spend, US$50.85m went to applications, and US$100.42 went to games.

App sales increased in Singapore despite a decline in app downloads in 3Q23.

Data from data.ai showed that app downloads have fallen to 67.6 million in 3Q23 from 72.1m in 3Q22.

The top downloaded apps in Singapore were Threads, TikTok, and Telegram.

Despite no longer being the top downloaded app in Singapore, TikTok remains the top app which Singaporeans spend money on, followed by YouTube and Disney Plus.
