KU DÉ TA appoints 3 new members to management team

Michael Farquhar, Dolores Tay and Michael Venezuela have been appointed as Corporate F&B Director, Director of PR & Marketing and Entertainment Manager respectively.

Michael Farquhar

According to KU DÉ TA, Michael joins KU DÉ TA as Corporate F&B Director to take the guest service experience to new heights and launch the brand internationally.

Michael is a hospitality professional with nearly 20 years of broad based hospitality experience in hotel, resort, banquet and restaurant operations in Denmark, Switzerland, China, America, England, Costa Rica, Egypt and India. He has worked his way up from stewarding, chef to senior management. Michael’s experience encompasses
multi-site operations, openings and renovations, project management, hiring and training.

Most recently Michael was the Director of Food & Beverage at The Oberoi, Mumbai where he reopened the hotel after the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks.

Michael’s career also includes tenures in properties under the global hospitality brands of InterContinental and Four Seasons.

Dolores Tay

Dolores brings to the team more than 14 years of integrated marketing and communications and public relations experience. She has worked with both corporate and consumer clients in local, regional and international capacity.

Fresh from her 2 year stint as Assistant Editor – Special Projects for The New Paper (Singapore) Dolores is able to provide an insight into the inner workings of the media above and beyond her decade long experience as a marketer. Prior to her foray into journalism, Dolores had prominent appointments within Singaporean fashion houses of FJ Benjamin and Club 21 where she managed local and international marketing and communication
initiatives.

Dolores also took 5 years out of her corporate career to start and build 2 successful businesses in the public relations, event management and integrated marketing and communications field.

Michael Venezuela

With an eventful 15 year career in the international entertainment industry, Michael is a great addition to
the star-studded KU DÉ TA team.

Starting out as a backup dancer for Jennifer Lopez and Destiny’s Child, Michael’s work has seen him rub
shoulders with the who’s-who of American Entertainment. His dancing and modeling soon gave way to marketing and event creation. The last 15 years he worked with most major Networks, nightclubs, restaurants and hotels around the world, marketing opening-night events and hosting weekly soirees. The names of these establishments read like a history of media sources and club nightlife: Davie-Brown Entertainment; MTV; Game Show Network; ESPN; NFL Network; E! Entertainment; New York’s China Grill; Atlantas' Velvet Room and Tongue & Groove; Dallas’ Petrus Lounge; Milan, Italy’s Hollywood Club; Tokyo, Japan’s Chrome and Las Vegas’ Angel Management Group managing all the entertainment venues within the MGM Grand (Wet Republic Ultra Pool, Studio 54 & Tabu Ultra Lounge), Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (Vanity Nightclub & Rehab Pool). Angel Management Group is well known for its flagship event brand GodsKitchen and Global Gathering are recognized worldwide, to name a select few.

Most recently, Michael was the Social Media and Special Events Director, at Famous Nightclub in Patong Beach Phuket.
