Manufacturing company Micro-Mechanics suspends operations in Thailand

It seems like the floods won’t be abating any time soon.

The company announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Micro-Mechanics (Thailand) Limited, has suspended operations at the Group’s factory in Pathumthani, Thailand up to the end of October 2011 due to the ongoing flood situation in the country.

According to its statement, “The Group would like to acknowledge the dedication of its employees in Thailand for their committed efforts to secure and protect the factory from rising floodwaters in the vicinity. Thus far, there have not been any reports of flooding inside the facility or damage to production equipment.

However, the Group will only be able to do a proper assessment when the Thailand factory is ready to resume operations.”
