His resignation is part of an overall intention to have a majority of independent directors on the Board.
The Board of K1 Ventures announced the resignation of Jeffrey Alan Safchik as executive director.
Mr Safchik, 62, remains the company's chief financial officer and chief operating officer, according to a K1 Ventures report.
He was appointed as executive director 7 May 2010.
