CIMB Singapore launches CIMB Bank Express

It uses chat bots, anamorphic displays, and interactive screens to support self-service banking.

CIMB Singapore has launched the CIMB Bank Express to commemorate the first anniversary of the CIMB Plaza inauguration.

Located on the ground floor mall of CIMB Plaza, CIMB Bank Express makes use of chat bots, anamorphic displays, and interactive table-top screens to support self-service banking, product demonstrations, and account applications.

It also offers exciting games in which customers and even non-customers can win prizes.

“We want to bring a new and immersive  banking experience to Singaporeans like never before. As part of digitalising the banking  experience, we want to make banking not just convenient but also fun and enjoyable,” said Victor Lee Meng Teck, CEO of CIMB Singapore, commenting on the launch of CIMB Bank Express.

“During the recent soft launch, we are pleased to hear encouraging feedback on the design  and user experience at CIMB Bank Express. Moving forward, we will continue to enhance the  customer experience through added interactive components making it fun and simple to learn  more about our products and services,” said Merlyn Tsai, head of consumer banking & digital at CIMB Singapore.

To celebrate the launch of CIMB Bank Express and CIMB Plaza’s first anniversary, the bank  is hosting a 5-day on-ground event from 19 June to 23 June at CIMB Plaza. Public will be offered a complimentary cup of coffee from Tanamera after leaving a review of their  experience at CIMB Bank Express. They can also receive a packet of popcorn when they  follow CIMB Singapore on its Facebook and Instagram pages.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
