DBS adds carbon calculator in LiveBetter platform

Users can also now access a curated portfolio of carbon projects to help reach offset goals.

DBS LiveBetter has added a carbon calculator to its platform.

The Track Better feature automatically calculates and generates a customer’s estimated carbon footprint profile based on their qualifying DBS/POSB debit and credit card spends; whilst Offset Better gives users a curated portfolio of carbon projects so that they can reach their preferred carbon offset amount, which they can choose in-app.

The two functions add to the platform’s initial offerings of Know Better, Invest Better and Give Better. These enabled users to access eco-friendly tips and insights, kickstart their sustainability investing journey, as well as donate to their preferred social or environmental causes respectively.

LiveBetter has attracted close to 200,000 unique users since its launch in 2021 and successfully channelled over S$8.2m into sustainable investments. Over S$673,000 in donations have also been made to support various campaigns.
