StanChart, SMU establish programme for women entrepreneurs

The bank funded $300,000 for the incubator.

Standard Chartered Bank has partnered with Singapore Management University's Lien Centre for Social Innovation to establish a Women in Entrepreneurship Incubator. 

The bank has donated $300,000 to support female entrepreneurs focused on creating social impact. 

The incubator will provide training, mentoring, and seed funding to aspiring and current female entrepreneurs.

The partnership will prioritise two critical aspects of entrepreneurship development for its participants.

Firstly, it aims to foster an innovative entrepreneurial mindset by utilising tools such as user-centred design, technology, and other problem-solving approaches. This mindset will be applied to addressing challenges for both the individual and society.

Secondly, the incubator will facilitate the participants' journey in social entrepreneurship, supporting their personal and professional growth to become more effective social entrepreneurs.
