GfK Asia appoints Lawrence Yeow as Regional Retail Director
Retail Specialist expected to further enhance collaborative efforts with retailers in the region.
GfK Asia announced Monday the appointment of Lawrence Yeow as Regional Retail Director with effect from 1 March, 2012. He will be based in Singapore and reports directly to Stanley Kee, Managing Director of GfK Southeast Asia.
Mr. Yeow is a retail veteran with specialized skills and knowledge amassed from over 20 years’ experience spanning across various sectors and markets.
In his new capacity, he is responsible for the strategic roadmap and recruitment of panel retailers across Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining GfK Asia, Mr. Yeow was the Operations Director at Watson’s Personal Care Store in Singapore. His other work experiences have been accumulated from his previous retail operation roles in British Petroleum, and United Overseas Bank, according to a GfK Asia report.
“Lawrence has extensive retail background across a myriad of sectors which renders him well-equipped to take charge of GfK’s retail business,” said Mr. Stanley Kee. “With his broad understanding and knowledge of franchisee management, fuel retailing, merchandising and marketing planning, he is able to translate the consumer research needs of the region’s retail associations and key business bodies synergistically to help retailers deliver their sales and profit targets.”
