Ministry of Transport designates one-north as SG's first drone estate

Airbus, ST Aerospace, and NTU will be the first users.

The Ministry of Transport designated one-north as Singapore’s first drone estate.

“The drone estate will provide companies and research institutions with an urban environment for test-bedding innovative UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) technologies,” said Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan at the opening of the 6th Singapore Airshow Aviation Leadership Summit today.

“This will help the growth of high-tech companies with UAS capabilities, and spur meaningful commercial partnerships,” he added.

Airbus, ST Aerospace, and NTU’s Air Traffic Management Research Institute will be the first organisations to use the One-North drone estate.
