SIA inks codeshare agreement with Latin-American carrier

SIA passengers will have wider connections with Colombia.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Latin-American carrier Avianca have signed an agreement to codeshare on each other's flights.

Under the deal, SIA passengers will have wider connections to Bogotá, Colombia, Avianca´s major hub location.

The deal will take effect starting September this year.

“This new codeshare agreement with Star Alliance partner Avianca provides our customers with seamless connections to Bogotá, the financial and commercial centre of Colombia," said SIA senior vice president marketing planning Tan Kai Ping.

Recently, SIA also signed a new codeshare agreement with Eurowings, a Dusseldorf-based subsidiary of Star Alliance partner, Lufthansa.
