Tiong Seng nabs $98.3m contract with PUB

It will supply and install a water pipeline.

Tiong Seng Holdings (Tiong Seng) has snapped up a $98.3m construction contract with the Public Utilities Board for the supply and installation of a water transmission pipeline.

According to the company’s news release, the contract were awarded through Tiong Seng’s subsidiary Tiong Seng Contractors.

Construction of the pipeline is expected to start on 17 June 2016, and is slated for completion in 2019.

Tiong Seng notes that amid the burgeoning demand for such civil engineering projects, the the Building & Construction Authority estimated total construction demand for 2016 to range from $27b-$34b. Of this, the public sector is slated to contribute about 65%.
