Keppel Land's leadership shuffle reveals top priorities

Fast-growing Indonesia gets its own country President.

In a release, Keppel Land revealed several appointments that will take effect from 1 January 2013 aimed at strengthening the leadership team in its core growth markets and segments.

Mr Sam Moon Thong, 47, President (Indonesia and Malaysia), will relinquish his Malaysia portfolio to focus on Indonesia, a growth market for Keppel Land, and will be designated as President (Indonesia).

Meanwhile, Singapore operations, comprising both Residential and Commercial, will be consolidated into one unit and headed by Mr Tan Swee Yiow who will assume the position of President (Singapore). To focus on the Singapore market, he will relinquish his overseas portfolio comprising Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar.

To achieve greater synergy among its hospitality assets across Asia, Keppel Land said it has appointed Mr Khoo Peck Khoon as General Manager of Hospitality Management. He will manage and operate Keppel Land's hospitality assets and projects which include the Sedona hotels and serviced apartments in Myanmar (Yangon and Mandalay), Vietnam (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) and Indonesia (Manado); golf courses in China (Kunming, Tianjin and Jiangyin) and Indonesia (Bintan) as well as marinas in Singapore, Indonesia (Batam) and China (Zhongshan).
