Daily Briefing: New questions appear in Employment Pass application forms; The bulls and bears of bitcoin

And here's how to score the best savings account for you.

In an unannounced change, a number of significant new questions have been added to the Employment Pass online application form by Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM), found Berry Appleman & Leiden (BAL).

On Friday, 10 November, BAL noticed the additional questions under Section F – Job Advertisement Information of the Employment Pass Online application.

The questions seek greater details about the company’s hiring practices, efforts to hire local candidates for the job, and up to three reasons why the company decided not to hire a local candidate.
