Duty Free International’s net profit surges 64.7% to RM16.8m in Q3

Thanks to new outlets in KLIA 2.

Retail operator Duty Free International reported that its net profit surged 64.7% year-on-year to RM16.8m ($5.51m) in the third quarter.

The surge was driven by an increase in demand and higher selling prices for certain products. Its bottom line was also supported by contributions from seven new outlets at KLIA 2.

The group’s revenue increased 12.5% to RM142.9m ($50.3m).
