Urbanec is no stranger to Prudential. In 2008, he joined Prudential Corporation Asia as the Regional Director of Integrated Distribution and Customer Strategy. He moved to Prudential Singapore in 2009.
Singapore is one of Prudential's most significant businesses in the region and Urbanec comes with a strong track record, having played a critical role in the enhancement and expansion of the distribution and marketing capabilities in his recent role as Chief Marketing and Partnerships Distribution Officer here.
Having been in the consumer financial services industry for over 20 years, Urbanec brings with him both depth and breadth of experience. Of this, more than 13 years was spent in the insurance industry in Asia.
His previous employers include Progressive Insurance Group and the Travelers Insurance Group. He was also Regional Vice President, Personal Lines, with American International Group where he was responsible for Business Development in various regions including Japan, Middle East & India, and Asia.
In 2004, he joined ACE Insurance as the Executive Vice President of its International Personal Lines Division. At ACE, Urbanec had P&L responsibilities for operations in 15 countries and four regions including Latin America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Japan.

Urbanec takes up the CEO role from Kevin Holmgren who is retiring with plans to return to the United States. Under Urbanec's leadership and with Prudential's focus on its customer driven strategy, Prudential Singapore is well positioned to remain a market leader, continuing its strong growth momentum and delivering world class products and services to Singaporeans.
