Are bosses in Singapore turning a blind eye to backstabbing?
A news survey says yes, find out why.
Office politics, lacking collaboration, backstabbing--it goes by many names, but it is fundamentally detrimental to business. Unfortunately, a recent survey in Singapore says local employers are failing spectacularly when it comes to promoting collaboaration among staff.
It seems that local firms are not doing enough to boost collaboration among their staff. Eighty-three per cent employees in Singapore believe their organisation should spend more time promoting collaboration among staff.
The Q3 Randstad Workmonitor survey showed that 36% believe that they are not provided with relevant tools and training to work effectively in diverse teams.
“Survey results show that 70% of employees now spend more time collaborating with colleagues than they did five years ago. This growth in collaboration and the need for greater connectivity means employers should ensure their employees are equipped with the necessary skills and tools to allow them to collaborate effectively – especially if they are working in different time zones,” said Michael Smith,Country Director of Randstad Singapore.
