Mr. Lau, 48, was responsible for overseeing and guiding the company, particularly in its coal and coke business operations.

He is chief executive officer for Loudong General Nice Resources (China) Holdings and executive director for Loudong General Nice Resources (China) Holdings at Shanxi Loudong-General Nice Coking & Gas. Mr. Lau is executive director for Evershine Group Holdings since May 12, 2015. He was a compliance officer for Evershine Group Holdings from June 18, 2015 to February 18, 2016. He is chief executive officer for General Nice Development Limited. He is chief executive officer and director for General Nice Resources (Hong Kong) Limited. He is also chief executive officer for Abterra since November 1, 2006. He was chairman of the Board for Evershine Group Holdings from June 19, 2015 to December 9, 2016. He was deputy chairman since February 6, 2009 and executive director since September 22, 2008 for Loudong General Nice Resources (China) Holdings. He is executive director for General Nice Development Limited. He is executive director for Abterra since October 2006 and Sun's Group Limited (The) since September 22, 2008. He is non-executive director for Pluton Resources since April 24, 2013. He is executive director for General Nice Resources (Hong Kong) Limited since 2002. He is director for Abterra Coal & Coke, Abterra HK, and Loudong PRC.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the School of Finance in University of Hawaii in the United States of America.
