Epicentre sinks into the red in 1H16

Despite a growth in revenue.

Epicentre Holdings reported a net loss of $0.8m in the first six months of its financial year.

Group revenue rose to $97.6 million, an increase of 1.9%, or $1.8 million compared to the corresponding period last year.

The revenue growth was largely contributed by the increase in sale volume for Apple CPU and other apple products during the October 2015 to December 2015 period. The growth was however, partially offset by the increase in price competition of computer products.

Despite the growth in revenue, gross profit decreased by $0.9 million from $8.98 million to $8.08 million, caused by the decline in gross profit margin from 9.4% in 1H2015 to 8.3% in 1H2016.
