Chart of the Day: See the surging non-landed private residential rents in FY14

Up 25.0% from last year.

Rental prices continued to fall as rental volume increased in the past month.

In a report by SRX, an estimated 3,539 non-landed private residential units were rented in August 2014. This is a 3.6% increase from 3,416 units rented in July 2014.

On a year-on-year basis, rental volume in August 2014 is 25.0% higher compared with 2,831 units rented in August 2013.

According to SRX, however, non-landed private residential prices continue to face downward pressure and negative market sentiment.
