Private condo rent prices down 2% in September

Prices also dipped 0.1% on a monthly basis.

The prices of private condominium and apartment rentals dipped 2% YoY in September, according to the Singapore Real Exchange (SRX).

Based on its flash data, prices also dipped 0.1% on a monthly basis.

Rents in Core Central Region (CCR) and Outside Central Region (OCR) fell 0.4% and 0.8%, respectively. Rental prices in the Rest of Central Region (RCR) decreased by 1.7%.

The rents in September were 19.2% down from its peak in January 2013.

Meanwhile, rental volume dropped by 12.6% MoM from 4,345 units in August to 3,799 units in September.

On a yearly basis, rental volume was 1.2% lower than the 3,847 units rented in 2016.
