Triyards Holdings bags US$12.8m contract from Greenbay Marine
This is its first time to build escort tugs.
Triyards Holdings has expanded its product range to meet the demands of its new client Greenbay Marine. According to a news release by the company, the US$12.8m contract is for four RAstar 3400 Azimuth Stern Drive Tugs, which are expected to be delivered by 2017.
The company’s orderbook stood at US$564m as at October 2015. It comprises nine lifeboats, two multi-purpose support vehicles, three chemical tankers, a selection of aluminum craft, a floating production, storage and offloading vessel turret, as well as two industrial fabrication projects.
Further, Triyards’ acquisition of experienced aluminium shipbuilders Strategic Marine (S) Pte. Ltd. and Strategic Marine (V) Company Limited in October last year gives the company both new fabrication capacity and engineering capabilities in aluminium.
