Singtel's Thai associate hit with $2.7b lawsuit over revenue sharing spat

The company refuses to pay the claims.

Singtel's Thai associate, Advanced Info Service Public Company (AIS) is locked in a $2.7b (THB 70b) over a revenue sharing deal with TOT Public Company Limited (TOT).

TOT alleged that AIS made unlawful amendments to a deal dating back to 2001 and 2002 that will allow both companies to share prepaid revenues and deduct roaming expenses.

AIS reiterated that the amendments were legal and made correctly, faithfully, and with the consent of both parties.

AIS said that it has "no responsibility" to pay the claims by TOT, and has submitted the lawsuit for arbitration.
