SMRT eyes railway project in Indonesia
It is through a consortium with PT. T-Files Indonesia
The SMRT Corporation Ltd. is hoping to to snap up a project in Indonesia as it announced its formal bid to participate in the Public Tender for a metro rail project in Bandung City, Indonesia.
The transport operator's wholly owned subsidiary, SMRT International joined the tender through a consortium with PT. T-Files Indonesia.
The project is for the investment construction of Corridor 1 rail-based public transportation and its supporting facilities in Bandung City.
According to the group, there has been no agreement to date as to the terms of any definitive agreements to be entered into in terms of the construction and implementation of the project.
More so, SMRT said should the tender is awarded to the consortium, it would not have any impact on its net tangible assets or earnings for the current financial year.
