Jetstar to launch direct flight between Singapore, Wuxi
The first flight will fly on 28 December.
Jetstar Asia will be launching a new direct service between Singapore’s Changi Airport and Wuxi’s Sunan Shuofang International Airport in China beginning on 28 December, the airline’s second route to China.
In a statement, Jetstar said it aims to serve over 70,000 customers annually between Singapore and Wuxi.
The initial flight schedule from 28 December 2023 to 14 January 2024 will be on Mondays and Thursdays.
The frequency will be increased to four times a week every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 15 January onwards.
“Since China reopened their borders and entry requirements for foreign visitors returned to what they were pre-COVID, we’re seeing strong interest for services to key Chinese ports as well as increasing demand for services from China to Singapore,” said Jetstar CEO Barathan Pasupathi.
As part of the launch, Jetstar will launch special one-way fares from Singapore to Wuxi for travel between January and May 2024 from just $178. It will be available until 16 October, at 11:59 pm. Club Jetstar, members, meanwhile may avail of cheaper fares starting from just $168.
