Jetstar Group starts operations in Changi Airport T4

It will serve nearly 4,000 passengers on its first day.

The Jetstar Group, composed of Singapore’s Jetstar Asia, and Australia’s Jetstar Airways, began flying passengers in and out of the Lion City at the Changi Airport Terminal 4 (T4) on Tuesday.

In a statement, Jetstar said it will serve 25 flights on its first day with Jetstar Asia’s first flight arriving in Singapore at 12:40 am from Manila, and its first departure bound for Manila leaving at 6:15 am. Meanwhile, Jetstar Airway’s first flight will leave for Melbourne at 10:10 pm.

The group would have flown nearly 4,000 passengers by the end of the day.

Jetstar Asia CEO Barthan Pasupathi said they have been at Chagi for nearly 19 years and have served over 50 million passengers, but the move to T4 will allow the company to grow its fleet, capacity, and network of destinations.

Prior to the first day of operations, it conducted orientation flights on 22 February and 9 March.
