Moya Dayen terminates former deputy chairman

The Catalist-listed environmental engineering firm terminated the services of John Lee Thian Guan, claiming he breached his employment contract by entering into a consultancy agreement with Dowtec.

An announcement made by Moya Dayen to Singapore Exchange on 23 June 2010 said, “The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to announce that the Company was informed Mr John Lee Thian Guan had entered into a Consultancy Agreement with Dowtec Pte Ltd (as at the date of this Announcement, an associated company of the Company) on or about 16 January 2010. The Company treats this act by Mr John Lee Thian Guan as a breach of his terms of employment and consequently, an act of termination of his employment with the Company.”

The company statement added, “Accordingly, the Board of Directors of the Company wishes to announce that the services of Mr John Lee Thian Guan with the Group would be deemed to have been terminated since 16 January 2010. Accordingly, as at the date of this Announcement, Mr John Lee Thian Guan is no longer employed by the Company or its subsidiaries, and holds no directorships or positions within the Group.”
