Civmec locks in $1.5b order book on new contract wins
Awards cover resources, infrastructure, and maintenance works.
Civmec Limited’s order book has risen to $1.5b after the engineering and construction group secured new contracts, panel agreement extensions and orders across its business.
The awards cover the group’s resources, infrastructure, energy and maintenance operations and are expected to be delivered across financial years 2027 and 2028.
One award is a further package of work from Iluka Resources for the Eneabba Rare Earths Refinery in Western Australia.
Civmec will undertake structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation installation works across the facility.
The works will support Iluka’s plan to begin commissioning the refinery from mid-2027.
The alliance comprising Civmec, Seymour Whyte and Aurecon has also been awarded a major construction contract for Perth Park, an entertainment and sporting precinct on the Burswood Peninsula in Western Australia.
The project has moved from planning and design into construction delivery, with substantial completion expected in late 2027.
Civmec said it recognised only its share of the alliance contract in its order book, with the value included in the group’s order book announcement on 15 May 2026.
The company also secured new contracts, panel agreement extensions and orders across its maintenance portfolio, increasing utilisation at its permanent regional facilities.
The maintenance and manufacturing work covers long-term clients across lithium, rare earths, critical minerals, iron ore, coal, alumina and hydrocarbons, as well as manufacturing work from the group’s Newcastle facility.
Civmec said it has also increased its involvement in early-contractor involvement activities across several commodities and locations.
