Kuok Group Singapore wins at SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2025

The company was recognised for launching Enterprise Private GPT to boost productivity and operational efficiency.

Kuok Group Singapore was honoured at the SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2025 in the AI - Conglomerates category, highlighting the efficiency of its Enterprise Private GPT.

Enterprise Private GPT is an AI initiative that consist two powerful AI tools, KuokSG-GPT and Vessel Document RAG. This improves productivity and operational efficiency in the organisation whilst ensuring data privacy and security.

At the heart of this initiative is KuokSG-GPT, a secure and private AI tool that helps employees with tasks like summarising documents, drafting proposals, analysing data, and generating insights. KuokSG-GPT is hosted on a private cloud, and provides a safe environment for the entire workforce to work more efficiently.

Complementing KuokSG-GPT is Vessel Document RAG, a specialised AI tool built for maritime operations that focusses on digitising vessel manuals and preserving important technical knowledge. This helps maritime staff access vital information quickly and accurately.

The combination of these tools streamlines everyday tasks and provides specialised support for maritime operations, all whilst maintaining strict data privacy and security standards.

Enterprise Private GPT sets itself apart from public AI tools by offering a secure and controlled environment. Unlike public AI models that can pose risks of data leakage, this initiative ensures that sensitive information is handled with the highest level of security. Vessel Document RAG also incorporates advanced technologies like Intelligent Document Processing and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to enhance productivity in maritime operations.

Enterprise Private GPT aims to increase the adoption of KuokSG-GPT in the organisation, and digitise and centralise vessel manuals and maintenance histories through Vessel Document RAG.

Since its introduction, KuokSG-GPT has quickly become a valuable tool, as it has been used by over 30% of targeted employees daily. Training sessions and workshops have helped employees to use AI as a tool, enabling them to embrace the new technology confidently.

Vessel Document RAG has proven especially effective in the maritime sector as well. By retaining critical knowledge, Vessel Document RAG helps to shorten time to retrieve critical vessel asset information and reduce mistakes in getting wrong information to improve our maintenance regime.

With a flexible and scalable architecture, Enterprise Private GPT has the potential for future growth. The company plans on integrating it with other systems like agentic AI, adding multilingual support, enhancing collaboration tools, and expanding the use of RAG capabilities to improve efficiency across various departments.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
