Popety aims to solve the three biggest issues of the property market

It’s the first search-through-maintain platform in Singapore.

Leveraging on technology (Blockchain on data validation, Artificial Intelligence for price estimation), Popety has compiled trends and insights to assist seekers to make
informed decisions in a shorter time.

Popety is a 360° property management portal which brings transparency and efficiency to the real estate market for all industry participants. It aims to empower the next generation of homeowners, and be the source of truth for seekers.

The platform provides information down to the unit-level for all public and private residential properties in Singapore.

Connecting seekers to homeowners (C2C), sometimes through agents (B2C), Popety is the first search-through-maintain platform in Singapore where users can pull out their phone, track events, close deals and order services with a few taps.

Customers express frustration waiting for a new solution that would address three key problems - data, manual paper based procedures, and taking care of a property.

Michael Chaille, the owner, says that Popety aims to solve three main issues of the property sector.

First comes the data. Trust can only exist if shared information is transparent and genuine. Classifieds adopt an outdated business model, what is advertised may not be the best deal for seekers and duplicates exist freely, leading to a waste of time and risks of scam. "Popety created records for every residential dwelling in Singapore with verified data giving its users access to the whole market," Chaille said.

Second are the manual, non-standard and paper based procedures clearly lagging behind what today's technology can enable. Search of a property is only the very first step in the customer “real estate” journey. "Popety automates all key activities required not only to find but also to transact and maintain properties. More specifically on transactions, users are no longer required to pay hefty fees for listing, as they only pay for genuine leads who are looking to buy, rent or sell properties," he added.

Finally, taking care of a property often means getting services from providers and it’s a little bit the jungle out there. Fragmented market, uneven quality and prices often transforms a simple thing into a nightmare of time and money lost.

As life is easier with friends, Popety has partnered with several service providers to let its user base enjoy discounts and get expert help for home-related services within the app.

Popety also offers the tools for homeowners to manage their properties, keep track of issues and earnings.

This includes documents and repairs management with an in-app chat as well as a dynamic timeline to push news and promotions relevant to each user.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
