Ara Trust Management (Suntec) named Chan Kong Leong as CEO

He is also named executive director.

Mr. Chan, 44, replaced retiring Yeo See Kiat. He is responsible for the overall performance and direction of Suntec REIT.

He was the chief operating officer of the Manager from June 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016. He joined CapitaLand in 2010 where he held senior management positions in the last 6 years. He was senior vice president and head of Regional Investment of Asset & Fund Management for CapitaLand Mall Asia, program director for CAPITASTAR and regional general manager, West China for CapitaLand Group. He was head of Corporate Finance, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications for GuocoLand from 2007 to 2010. He was also chief operating officer for Sembawang Kimtrans otherwise known as Toll Logistics (Asia) from December 1, 2003 to 2007.

He was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal, the Sally Meyer Gold Medal and the Singapore Institute of Surveyors & Valuers (SISV) Gold Medal for being the most outstanding graduate. He also received the NUS Scholarships and was placed on the Dean's Lists for the entire course of study. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. He got his Bachelor of Science in Building from the National University of Singapore with a First Class Honours.
