CapitaLand names Tan Sri Amirsham A Aziz as Director

He was Chairman of National Economic Advisory Council of Malaysia.

The Board of CapitaLand announced the appointment of Tan Sri Amirsham A Aziz as Director. Based on the Nominating Committee's review of Tan Sri Amirsham's credentials and its recommendation that he be appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, the Board has considered the recommendation and is satisfied that Tan Sri Amirsham's appointment will be beneficial to the Board and the Company.

In the past, Tan, 61, was Chairman of National Economic Advisory Council, Prime Minister’s Department, Government of Malaysia from June 2009 to May 2011. Before this Tan was Cabinet Minister, Prime Minister’s Department, Government of Malaysia from March 2008 to April 2009 and President & Chief Executive Officer, Malayan Banking Berhad, Malaysia from May 1994 to March 2008, according to a CapitaLand report.
