Michael Velten
Michael Velten is a prominent tax adviser with extensive experience in the Asia-Pacific region. Michael was a Senior Financial Services Partner at Deloitte in Singapore, retiring from the firm in February 2025. He held various leadership positions at the firm, including Asia Pacific Financial Services Tax Leader, Southeast Asia Investment Management Leader, and Southeast Asia Real Estate Leader. Additionally, he led Deloitte Private Tax & Legal in Singapore and served as the Southeast Asia Family Office Leader.
Michael is qualified as a solicitor and CPA in Australia. He is also a certified tax professional in Hong Kong and Singapore, a trust and estate practitioner, a certified family office advisor, and an accredited director. Michael holds undergraduate degrees in commerce and law, as well as master's degrees in law and taxation, and an MBA. With over 35 years of experience, he has worked with leading law firms, accounting firms, and global financial institutions in Australia, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
