Chart of the Day: Is there hope for electronic products exports?

It contracted 6.6% in September.

Singapore trade has continually been badgered by lower exports in the electronic segments, which posted its 7th month of contraction in September with a 6.6% decline.

According to the latest figures by International Enterprise Singapore, the electronic exports further sank into the red after it recorded a 6% dip in August.

"The decrease in electronic domestic exports was largely due to integrated circuits (-6.3%), disk drives (-55.0%) and parts of PCs (-22.4%)," IE said.

The sector started its losing streak in March, where it fell at around the same pace it did in September. It slightly gained traction in June but fell again in July.

The overall electronic exports during the said month month has pulled Singapore's total exports down, falling 4.8% compared to a flat growth registered in the previous month.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
