Overall job postings recovering: job platform

Recovery is concentrated on certain industries and roles.

New Singapore data from global job platform Indeed shows overall job postings are recovering, being only 6% behind where they were in the same period last year.

However, Indeed data shows the recovery is concentrated on certain industries and roles.

Software development (-8.8%), real estate (-7.5%), engineering (-6.4%), and security roles (-4.2%) are bouncing back, having lower than average national decline. Hospitality and tourism (-62.2%), medical information (-46.3%), and marketing (-30.5%) are the sectors most struggling.

Singapore’s banking and finance sector is also leading the recovery, with a job resurgence pushing listings to their pre-COVID YoY levels in October. Demand is highest for those with risk management skills, with roles calling on this skill set comprising more than 12% of all finance listings for Q3.
