F&B sales growth eases to 0.3% YoY in April

In March, sales grew by 4.9% YoY.

Food and beverage (F&B) sales expanded by 0.3 YoY in April, a more moderate growth compared to March, when sales grew 4.9. 

Month-on-month, sales fell by 0.9%.

Sales value clocked in at $931m. Of the total sales value, 24% was from online sales.

According to the Department of Statistics Singapore (Singstat), two of the four industries recorded year-on-year sales growth in April 2024, led by  Food Caterers, which posted a 21.3 YoY and 12.8% MoM increase. 

Cafes, Food Courts & Other Eating Places recorded a 4.0% YoY and 1.5% MoM sales increase.

On the other hand, Fast Food Outlets and Restaurants reported a 0.7% YoY and 7.5% YoY dip in sales.
