F&B sales growth eases to 5.0% YoY in March

In February, sales grew by 14.8% YoY.

Food and beverage (F&B) sales increased by 5.0 YoY in March, a slower growth compared to February, when sales grew 14.8%. 

Month-on-month, sales fell by 3.1%.

Sales value clocked in at $982m. Of the total sales value, 23.1% was from online sales.

According to the Department of Statistics Singapore (Singstat), three of the four industries recorded year-on-year sales growth in March 2024, led by  Food Caterers, which posted a 13.5 YoY increase. MoM, however, sales of food caterers fell 10.5%.

Restaurants and Cafes, Food Courts & Other Eating Places recorded a 7.1% YoY and 3.8% YoY sales increase, respectively. 

On the other hand, Fast Food Outlets reported a 1.4% dip in sales.
