DBS, OCBC CEOs amongst LinkedIn's power profiles

Check out other CEOs who made it to the list.

Social networking site LinkedIn unveiled this year's list of Power Profiles in Singapore.

The Power Profiles 2017 names the most viewed professionals on LinkedIn in Singapore. The site noted that they utilised member data over 2016-2017 to arrive at the Power Profiles 2017 list.

"We also applied filters to capture engagement levels and other actions on the platform," LinkedIn said.

LinkedIn Power Profiles showcase the online influence of business leaders and other professionals in the areas of Finance, Technology, Human Resources, Marketing and Advertising, and Travel and Lifestyle.

Power Profiles are experts in their field and have established themselves as key opinion leaders in the areas of specialisation. They have also garnered a strong following from LinkedIn’s professional community in the past year.

DBS CEO Piyush Gupta as well as OCBC Bank Chief Samuel Tsien were amongst the top CEO profiles. Meanwhile, Lazada CEO Maximilian Bittner and RedMart CEO Roger Egan III were included in the power list for founders.

OCBC’s Tsien said in a statement that he has found being ‘social’ a fulfilling two-way journey as he was able to share ideas and thoughts with a wider audience comprising current OCBC employees, customers and investors and the potential ones.

“I have often received interesting feedback and comments to the articles that I have posted. Many times, the different viewpoints of professionals from other industries and markets have enhanced my perspective of the topic on hand. In a fast, effective and non-intrusive way, LinkedIn is helping OCBC build trust and relationships on a sustainable basis,” he said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
