Fujitsu appoints Dr Francis Goh as its Singapore President

Dr Francis Goh, who holds a management degree from Preston University, will report to Fujitsu Asia Regional Chief Executive Officer Mr Lawrence Wee.

Dr Goh will assume overall responsibility for driving business growth and profitability of the company's operations, and will be responsible for the overall direction and market strategy for sales, marketing, services and support operations. The new President will take the place of Mr Masaki Kajiyama who has assumed a new leadership position within the Fujitsu group.

“Singapore is a strategic market that will continue to play an important role in Fujitsu’s overall success. Our business here has been growing well and we see strong demand from companies keen to harness leading-edge IT solutions to drive greater efficiencies and more cost savings,” Mr Wee said.

He added, “We are pleased that Mr Goh has joined to lead the team in Singapore, and we believe that he will take our business to greater heights by complementing our global solutions and practices with his knowledge of local market requirements.”
Dr Goh similarly expressed optimism with his new post, saying his previous experiences with leading IT companies will certainly help him boost Fujitsu's growth in the country.

“Fujitsu is a world leader in IT services. I am excited and privileged to be appointed as President of Singapore operations. I will leverage on my experience with leading IT companies to accelerate Fujitsu’s growth in Singapore by focusing on providing Singapore organisations with the latest solutions to reduce the cost of running IT,” said Dr Goh.

Prior to his assignment in Fujitsu Asia, Dr Goh was Vice President, Strategic Sales Operations for SAP North Asia, which consists of countries including South Korea, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Previous to that, he held senior leadership positions in Cisco Systems, Accenture, Kline Group and ExxonMobil.

Dr Goh also holds an MBA (1st Class Honours) from the University of Dubuque in the US and an Honours Degree in Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He was a participant in the Executive Marketing Programme by Tuck Business School.
