Keppel, AIIB to mobilise $1.9b for sustainable infrastructure in Asia Pacific

The agreement is effective until December 2030.

Keppel Ltd has entered into a strategic partnership with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to catalyse up to $1.9 (US$1.5b) in sustainable infrastructure investments across Asia Pacific.

The five-year agreement, effective until December 2030, will support infrastructure projects developed by Keppel and funded through its private funds.

The focus will be on green infrastructure, connectivity, and technology-enabled developments in sectors such as power transmission, renewable energy, digital infrastructure, transportation, and urban services.

The collaboration leverages Keppel’s operational and fund management expertise in large-scale sustainable infrastructure and AIIB’s long-term financing capabilities through both debt and equity instruments.

Projects under the partnership will be prioritised in developing economies across the region, aligning with AIIB’s Corporate Strategy for 2021–2030.

The agreement is not expected to have a material impact on Keppel’s earnings per share or net tangible assets per share for the current financial year.
