Singapore’s CDL joins world’s top 100 sustainable companies
Top-ranked companies this year included Schneider Electric (France), Telefónica (Spain), and Brambles (Australia).
City Developments Limited (CDL) has been ranked amongst the world’s top 100 most sustainable companies, coming in at #77 on the 2025 global sustainability list compiled by Statista in partnership with TIME.
The ranking assessed more than 5,000 companies globally using 2023 performance data. CDL earned a sustainability score of 73.79, placing it alongside global leaders such as Siemens, Mastercard, and Accenture. It is the only Singapore-headquartered company to make the top 100.
Key criteria included ESG transparency, environmental and social performance indicators, and alignment with major sustainability frameworks such as the UN Global Compact and Science-Based Targets.
As a front-runner in sustainable real estate, CDL continues to align its business strategy with Singapore’s Green Plan 2030, focusing on energy-efficient buildings, low-carbon construction, and climate risk disclosure.
The methodology behind the ranking emphasised not just environmental performance, but also how companies are contributing to systemic and regenerative change, particularly in clean infrastructure, circularity, and social equity.
