Temasek's sustainable living portfolio hits $46b

It aims to cut net portfolio emissions by 50% by 2030, from 2010 levels.

Temasek’s portfolio aligned with its sustainable living trend reached $46b as of 31 March 2025.

Over the past year, the investment firm deployed $4b into sustainable living-trend aligned assets, including clean energy and decarbonisation projects. Notable collaborations include co-investments with Brookfield’s Global Transition Fund and Energy Capital Partners in the acquisition of Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure, a UK-based firm focused on renewable energy solutions.

Temasek is working towards cutting its portfolio’s net carbon emissions by 50% from 2010 levels by 2030, and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

The company noted that progress is challenging due to high emissions from sectors like aviation, shipping, and utilities, where decarbonisation solutions remain costly or underdeveloped.

For the financial year ended 31 March 2025, total portfolio emissions remained at 21 million tonnes of CO₂ equivalent.
