Chart of the Day: Foreigners snapped up 18.2% of Parc Clematis units

Its proximity to NUS, Jurong East, and One-North enhanced its appeal.

This chart from Knight Frank reveals that non-permanent foreigners accounted for 18.2% of sales of residential condo development Parc Clematis, making it the development with the highest number of foreign buyers in Q3 2019.

“The project appealed to foreign buyers due to its proximity to the National University of Singapore, Jurong East and One-north,” the report read.

Singaporean buyers still accounted for most of the new home purchases in the top five projects by sales, ranging from 80%-90% of the units purchased. Knight Frank noted that these projects appealed to Singaporeans seeking to purchase for occupation because of the location, the potential upside due to government development plans, and the affordable quantum.
