Chart of the Day: Private home leasings hit 23,095 in Q2
There are 980 more transactions in Q2 compared to the previous quarter.
This chart from OrangeTee & Tie shows that there were 23,095 private home leasings in Q2, up 4.4% QoQ compared to the 22,115 leasings in Q1.
On a yearly basis, the number of private home leasings rose 2.2%.
Rents of private homes rose 1.3% in the second quarter compared to a 1.0% increase in the preceding quarter, according to URA Realis data. Rents for non-landed homes increased across all market segments, led by CCR (1.5%), followed by RCR (1.4%) and OCR (1.2%).
Overall occupancy rates fell marginally by 0.1 ppt to 93.6% last quarter as rates fell in CCR (-0.2 pp) and OCR (-0.3 ppt). RCR’s occupancy marginally improved by 0.4 ppt. OrangeTee & Tie said that dip is negligible as occupancy rates across all segments are still above 90%.
