Solutions made compact

OKI Printing Solutions has largely been a B2B company, serving mostly companies and large corporations with its industrial strength printers. So when the company launched it latest generation of printers for the consumer market, there was reason to celebrate.


Held at The Arts House – Singapore’s old Parliament building – OKI unveiled its latest range of colour printers, mono printers and mono multifunctional products with the newly named C300/C500 Series, B400 Series and MB400 Series respectively.


Mr. Kazz Imaki, General Manager of Product Planning for Asia and Oceania opened the event by relating OKI’s involvement in the global printer market and its commitment to the Asian markets. He mentioned Singapore’s projected growth gave indication to OKI of a promising future within the local market as the company will continue introducing new and high quality products here. The printers were then unveiled with a colourful display of lights, fashion and dance, to the delight of the hundred plus thru-invite-only crowd.


Mr. Tsutomu Yamamoto, General Manager and Development Project Leader later explained the technological concepts behind the new models, how they made the OKI printers the world’s thinnest printers in its class, and the ideas behind the printer’s smooth and neat designs. He revealed the cutting-edge printer features inside the newest printers such as OKI’s latest generation of LED technology, advanced print engine architecture and the impressive ECO mode. With the company adopting international ‘Green’ standards, he also explained that the new printers now come with duplex printing – prints both sides of the paper – as a standard feature.


Marketing and Communications Manager for SEA & Hong Kong, Oscar Tan expressed the company’s excitement in its latest range of printers. He felt it was clear, given the printer specs and attractive pricing, that these printers would fit in very well with the needs of SMB and SOHO users. With especially compact sizes and good clean looks, it was evidently clear that these printers would suit any home or office, even with limited space.
