Mermaid Maritime Public appoints Bruce Gemmell as CEO

He carries out the strategies and policies as established by the Board and for the overall management, development and financial performance of the group.

The Board of Mermaid Maritime Public announced the appointment of Bruce Gemmell as Chief Executive Officer. Upon recommendation of the Nomination Committee, which had reviewed the qualification and experience of Mr. Gemmell, the Board of Directors therefore approved his appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the Company for contribution to the growth and performance of the Company and its subsidiaries, according to a Mermaid Maritime Public report.

Mr. Gemmell will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer reporting to the Board of Directors. He will be responsible for carrying out the strategies and policies as established by the Board and for the overall management, development and financial performance of the Company and its subsidiaries.

From 2010 to 2011he was the CEO of CSOTL Offshore Ltd., formerly named CUEL Swiber Offshore (Thailand) Ltd. Bangkok, Thailand. Prior to this, he was Operations and Country Manager J. RAY MCDERMOTT, Middle East Inc. & J. RAY MCDERMOTT Eastern Hemisphere Ltd. in Doha, Qatar from 2004 to 2010.
