Singtel issues $680.8m 10-year notes

It will carry a coupon of 2.375% per annum.

As part of its long-term financing strategy, Asia's leading communications and ICT solutions group Singtel unveiled the issuance of $680.8 million (US$500m) 10-year notes through its subsidiary, Singtel Group Treasury Pte. Ltd. (SGT).

In a statement, Singtel said the notes will carry a coupon of 2.375% per annum and will be drawn under SGT's $10 billion Euro MEdium Term Note Programme guaranteed by Singtel.

The said notes will mature in 2026.

Singtel Group Financial Officer Lim Cheng Cheng said the issue extends the debt maturity profile of Singtel and its subsidiaries.

More so, the net proceeds from this issue will be applied by SGT to fund its ordinary course of business.

“We are very pleased with the all-in coupon and the credit spread achieved on this transaction. The response from investors has been encouraging and underscores their continued confidence in the Singtel Group’s strong credit quality and business fundamentals," Lim noted.
